Tubbercurry or " Tobar A Choire" is Gaelic for " the well of the rock."
Tubbercurry was founded in the year 1397 which makes it one of the oldest towns in Ireland.
It is situated in South Sligo, at the foot of the Ox Mountains.
The town is famous for its traditional Irish music pubs. The annual music summer school in July, draws visitors from all regions, to enjoy the towns great hospitality.
Tubbercurry is also home to the thriving Western Drama Festival that takes place each Feburary.
